CHARGES FILED IN TWO SEPARATE SHOOTING INCIDENTS
Kevin Hillman, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney announces that charges have been filed in two separate and unrelated shooting incidents from last evening.
The first case involves a shooting and stabbing that occurred on Good Hope Street in St. Robert, Missouri. The Prosecutor’s Office has charged Nicholas Ousley of St. Robert with Domestic Assault in the First Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Felonious Restraint. Ousley is accused of shooting at his mother and then stabbing her with a knife in an attempt to kill her at their home. The defendant is in the Pulaski County Jail in lieu of a cash only bond of $1 million. The case is still under investigation by the St. Robert Police Department and additional charges may be filed as more information is obtained.
The second case involves a shooting on Crest Road in the Dixon area of Pulaski County. The Prosecutor’s Office has charged Douglas Bacon of Dixon with Assault in the First Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Bacon is accused of shooting an individual in the face with a .22 caliber rifle because of a dispute over an ATV. The defendant is in the Pulaski County Jail in lieu of a cash only bond of $1 million. This case is still under investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department and additional charges may be filed as more information is obtained.
Both of these victims are hospitalized and their conditions are unknown at this time. However, both suffered serious and life threatening injuries. If their injuries lead to death, murder charges can and most likely will be filed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
The Prosecutor’s Office reminds everyone that these charges are merely an accusation and these individuals remain innocent until proven guilty.
